1885-S Morgan Silver Dollar

Less than 1.5 million Morgan silver dollars were struck at the San Francisco Mint in 1885. Most of the coins in this limited mintage were either put into circulation or were melted by order of the 1918 Pittman Act (which called for the conversion of millions of silver dollars into bullion).
